The Priority of Jesus

Mark 1:38 · 44 min

During this teaching, we explore the impactful account of Mark 2, where four friends break through the roof of a house to bring a paralytic before the Lord. Through this story, we discover that although Jesus has the power to heal any physical illness, his top priority has always been to preach the Word and grant forgiveness of sins.

We reflect on:

📌The true Gospel: Miracles are a consequence of the Word of God; we should not come to Christ just for the "loaves and the fish", but for the salvation he offers.

📌 The inner murmur: God hears what we think and murmur in our heart with the same volume as our words.

📌 Who are you in the story?: A call to evaluate ourselves and discover if we are like the friends who bring others to Jesus, like the crowd that blocks access, or like the scribes who criticize.

📖 Bible passage: Mark 1:38 and Mark 2:1-12
